Seabrook attends first ISA Food and Pharmaceutical Symposium in Ireland

Seabrook is delighted to be attending the first ever ISA International Food and Pharmaceutical Symposium to be held outside of North America –in our native Ireland. The prestigious event is taking place in Cork on March 14th and 15th and has been scheduled to tie in with our national celebration of the 1916 centenary, and of course St. Patrick’s Day.

Seabrook is particularly looking forward to attending the symposium as a guest of Siemens, who will be exhibiting at booth number 8 during the event.  So if you are attending, come along to the stand and say hello. We will have a Seabrook representative there who will be delighted to have a chat about how MES and PLM advanced technologies could benefit your business.

This is the ISA’s (International Society of Automation) third annual FPID event and will have a keenly focused agenda. High quality presentations will specifically concentrate on the critical challenges of increased regulation, manufacturing costs, security threats and how automation can address these challenges.

Siemens will have two expert speakers at the conference whose talks promise to be engaging, educational and insightful. Andrew Whytock, Siemens MES Business & Solution Development for Pharma and Life Sciences, will deliver a talk on Digitisation, Paperless Manufacturing and how MES is a core concept in the Digital Factory.

Siemens Industrial CTO, Alan Norbury, will speak on how the global industry and Ireland is positioned to cope with Industry 4.0; the fourth industrial revolution of automation and digitisation.

The team at Seabrook is very much looking forward to these talks, and of course to hearing from our very own Minister for Agriculture Food & the Marine, Simon Coveney TD, at this hugely informative conference.

The 2015 symposium in Philadelphia delivered best practice insights and approaches to around 130 leaders of pharma and food processing companies. Ireland is the most popular country in Europe for FPID membership, with 1,040 members, so this Cork event is sure to attract big numbers.
